Who are we?

Fundación Rescate de Alimentos Panamá is a non-profit organization made up of more than 20 chefs, restaurant owners and experts in the food sector. We are committed to reducing malnutrition, ensuring food security and promoting responsible consumption in our community.

Team

Our foundation, led by chef Hernán Correa and supported by renowned culinary professionals in Panama, has the knowledge, experience and reputation to effectively address food waste, food safety and community sustainability.

Since 2016

Since our inception in 2016, we have been dedicated to fighting hunger and promoting food security in our country. We focus on rescuing food in good condition that would otherwise be wasted, and then redistributing it to people and communities in vulnerable situations.

Alliances

To achieve this purpose, we establish strategic alliances with producers, food distributors, restaurants, supermarkets, catering companies and other players in the food industry. Through this collaborative network, we collect surplus food and distribute it through community organizations and programs.

In addition to our direct rescue and redistribution actions, we actively work to raise awareness and education about the importance of reducing food waste and promoting sustainable practices in the food industry. We conduct awareness campaigns and offer training through lectures and workshops, with the aim of promoting a positive change in attitudes and behaviors related to food management in our society.

Actively working to raise awareness and educate about the importance of reducing food waste.
